Created by the esteemed New York Dermatologist Max Jessner, Jessner’s Solution is a medium strength chemical peel that combines Lactic Acid (AHA), Salicylic Acid (BHA), and Resorcinol to provide a peel with reduced toxicity but enhanced efficiency of each individual ingredient. These chemicals work in unison to provide a potent layering exfoliator of the epidermis, leaving clear, even and smooth skin underneath. This peel is perfect for people with uneven skin tone, wrinkles, acne, fine lines and sun damage.

| Instructions | Begin by washing the skin with your cleanser (an acid based cleanser is recommended and or a mild scrub to remove dirt and oils). It is important that you not use a cream, lotion, or pearlescent cleanser which may leave residue. After washing and patting the skin dry, use a cotton pad/ball to wipe down the area to be treated with your pre-peel solution or 70% alcohol. Failure to remove all oils from the surface of the skin will result in patchy and undesirable results. Using A Peel Prep Solution or 70% Alcohol will ensure all the oils are removed from your skin. Apply Peel Solution to a gauze pad and smooth it over the desired area. Allow the peel to set for no more than 5-8 minutes during the first application. For a light peel you can apply 2-3 layers, for a medium strength peel 4-6, and 6-8 layers for an extremely deep peel. Once you are ready to remove the peel you will apply the Neutralizer Solution. Neutralizing Solution Mix 1 part baking soda to 2 parts water and apply directly over the peel to stop the action of the acid and then rinse everything off with cool water for 30 seconds. Rinse the remaining solution with cool water. Gently pat the skin dry. Encourage your client to drink lots of water after this peel. Always wear SPF 50+ on your skin after the peel up to 2-3 weeks afterwards as your skin will be very sensitive to the sun. Failure to wear sunscreen after the peel can result in darkening or hyperpigmentation (dark spots) on the skin and sunburns. |
